What Peer Support Offers

Peer support is the practice of individuals offering emotional, social, and practical support through empathy, presence, and shared understanding.

 

Unlike clinical or hierarchical support models, peer support does not involve diagnosing, fixing, or advising. Instead, it creates safe, mutual spaces where people can listen, relate, and remind one another that they are not alone.

 

Through this training, participants learn how to hold space with compassion, respect, and grounded presence—while honoring healthy boundaries and appropriate roles.
